Eric McCormack (born April 18, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian-American actor.
Enlightened & trained as an actor inside Canada at Ryerson University, McCormack has been appearing around television productions since his debut in 1986.
His role when a gay lawyer in the NBC comedy series Will & Grace has brought him his most widespread success to date. Nominative for Emmy Awards on three occasions for this role, he won a Emmy Award for Spectacular Lead Actor withwithin the Comedy in 2001.
When you took a 1999-2000 Broadway year, McCormack briefly portrayed Prof. Harold Hill (replacing Craig Bierko) in the Susan Stroman revival of The Music Man while on hiatus from Will & Grace.
Although he plays the shirtlifter within May & Grace, McCormack is actually heterosexual. He has been married to Janet Holden-McCormack since 1997, and it have a boy, Finnigan Holden McCormack.
